Lawrence “Larry” Arthur Becker, 74, of Brownsville, Minn., passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on August 3, 1951, in St. Paul, Minn., to Harold and Rita (Reedy) Becker, Larry grew up with a strong sense of family and community. He graduated from Rosemount High School and went on to build a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
On April 6, 2002, Larry married Cindy, and together they created a home rich with family, friends, jokes, cribbage, and countless cups of coffee. Over the course of his career, Larry logged more than four million miles trucking – a testament to his dedication and hard work.
Larry will be remembered for his deep love of his children and grandchildren, his quick wit, his joyful singing, and his famous pancakes. He found happiness in the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, ATV riding, horseback riding, and grilling with family and friends. His loyal dog Crockett was a constant companion.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandie Becker.
He is survived by his wife Cindy, his siblings: George (Joann), Rick (Zella), Patty (Bruce) Fortner, Becky (Rick) Mauer, Shawn, Fran (Shannon), and Anthony (Amy); his children: Tammy Stevens, Larry “Gunner” (Kathryn), Judy (Michael) Schaffer, Scott (Kathy), and Kari (Jason) Buntjer; his stepchildren: Dan (Michelle) Reinhart, David “Bear” (Dawn) Reinhart, and Jenny (Brent) Schroeder; along with 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, soon to be seven.
A celebration of Larry’s life was held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Four Seasons Community Center in Caledonia, Minn., from 12–4 p.m. The service began at noon, followed by a meal and visitation. McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, assisted the family.
