LaVina Ann Lange passed away on May 31, 2024. She was born on April 1, 1930, in Caledonia to Gerhard and Helen (Reining) Bauer.
She married Ted Lange on June 28, 1949 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Caledonia. Ted preceded her in death in 2000.
Vi held many jobs throughout her life on and off the farm and officially retired in 2019 at the age of 89. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports and spent countless hours on the bleachers. She loved going for walks, mowing her lawn and living on her farm.
She is suvived by her children Bob (Shari), Mark (Pat), Maureen (Gary) Meiners, Tim (Julie Lange), and daughter-in-law Judy Lange; grandchildren Tony (Missy), Randy, Kurt (Tess), Jessica (Mike), Melissa (Eric), Dustin (Jaclyn), Carrie (Joe), Brian (Sunny), Mitchell (April), Kevan (Amelia), Kasey (Ashley), Sadie (Steph), Emma (Andrew) and Lydia; great-grandchildren, Teagan, Braelyn, Adrienne, Wyatt, William, Sawyer, Owen, Jace, Remi, Eli, Kinley, Reid, Lainey, Trevyn, Braxton, Paizley, Ayla, Brogan, Will, Cooper, Isabel, Garner, Cael, Westin, Chloe, Regan, Kiera, Kiptyn, Kade and Karver; sisters Mary Mullen and Rita Svehaug; brothers-in-law Art Robak and Dave Augedahl, and sisters-in-law, Judy Bauer, Wanda Bauer and Leota Bauer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bill, siblings Vincent (Rosine), Sr. Vinciana Bauer, Bernice (Les) Lange, Teresa (Ralph) Heberlein, Shorty, Gordy, Millie Robak, Helen Augedahl, John, infant brother Alvin, infant sister Alvina; brothers-in-law Jay Schense and Lee Svehaug.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 20, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Caledonia. Father Andrew Vogel will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Caledonia. A luncheon and fellowship will follow in Holy Family Hall. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday before the service at the church. McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia is assisting the family.
