Lauraine Heiden obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Lauraine M. Heiden, 89, of Rushford, died Friday, January 2, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Lauraine was born April 13, 1936, in Rushford to John and Anna (Mueller) Magnuson. On February 4, 1956, she married Kenneth Heiden. Lauraine was a true homemaker, taking great pride in raising their seven children. She kept a beautiful garden, with the help of her children. She was amazing in the kitchen with her baking, cooking and canning. After her children were all in school, Lauraine started work outside of the home, retiring from the Winona County Soil Conservation Department.

Her family was her true pride and joy. She enjoyed going dancing with Ken and for rides out east in the semi with him. In her later years, she enjoyed going for car rides with her family.

She is survived by seven children: Kenny Heiden, Tammy Wehrs, Melanie (Chad) Brandenburg, Holly Brand, Debra (Mike) Thompson, Brenda Rohde and Lorelei (Brent) Bunke; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and siblings John (Susie) Magnuson and Joyce Brand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ken, son-in-law Rocky Brand, and brother-in-law Larry Brand.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service – Rushford. Visitation will be 1 p.m., until the time of the service.
