Laura Grebin, age 66, of Preston, Minn., died on Friday, December 27, 2024, at home surrounded by family after a year-long battle against cancer.
Laura Lee Grebin was born on November 12, 1958, in Austin, Minn., daughter of Robert W. and Rosalie A. (Andrews) Grebin. Laura was a graduate from Austin High School. She enlisted with the United States Air Force from May 25, 1983, to her honorable discharge on May 24, 1989. Laura moved back to Minnesota in 2018 to live in the original house in Carimona, built in 1856, that has housed five generations of the King/Hendershott/Grebin families. She spent many hours rehabilitating the house so it will stand for many more generations to come. Laura managed the Preston Food Shelf for many years before retirement. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, taking walks on her property, DIY projects, spending time with family, and getting together with friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rachel Yandon (Mark Payne) of Olympia, Wash., and Casandra Estrumse (Dylan) of San Antonio, Tex.; grandchildren Daynon, Dax, Duncan and Declan; siblings Robert Grebin (Shauna), Lynette Cayson (Byron), Robin Moffat (Doug), Rick Grebin (Debbie), and Larry Grebin (Deb).
Laura was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Rosalie and brother Lee Grebin.
