Larry J. Kimball, 79, formerly of Canton, died Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Green Lea Senior Living in Mabel.
Larry was born July 13, 1946, at the Preston Hospital, the son and eighth child of Clair and Margaret (Courtney) Kimball. He was raised on the family farm, graduating from the Canton High School in 1964. A the age of 5, Larry was infected with encephalitis, a severe brain infection, leaving him with grand maul seizures and a disability for the rest of his life.
Larry is survived by a brother, Allyn Kimball of Folsom Calif.; and sisters-in-law Kayla (Glover) Kimball of Blue Earth, Minn., and Shirley (Bakke) Kimball of Canton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Courtney, Norman, Thomas and Gary; and sisters Shirley and Romelle.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 16 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Canton. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Canton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel is assisting with arrangements.
