2023 Season: Both the LFCMC girls and boys qualified by Wild Card for the state True Team meet. The girls took sixth and the boys seventh. Each team has gone to state the last five years. Seven athletes qualified for state individually. The 4×800 (Isaac Snyder, Luke Ruen, Jayce Kiehne, Sam Springer) took third. Kiehne took third individually in the 800-meters. Lucas Nikoloski (9th place Discus) and Addie Miner (9th place, Pole Vault) each made the podium. Parker Storhoff (Pole Vault) qualified for state. Springer, Miner, and Storhoff graduated.

Key Underclassmen: (Girls) Kyla Hellickson (So.), Aubrey Daniels (So.), Lillyan Kiehne (So.), Kinley Soiney (So.), Autumn Rakosnik (8th). (Boys) Davis Penhollow (So.).
Kids to Watch: The entire boys teams. With 12 seniors, LFCMC is stacked in their top class. Snyder, L-Ruen, and J-Kiehne comprise three-fourths of last year’s state third place 4×800. Kiehne is a three-time state qualifier in the 800 (third place last year). Snyder and Ruen also made the 1A Meet as part of the 4×400. Nikoloski is the returning 1A discus champ and a state qualifier. Lynsey Ruen (300-hurdles, 4×400) and Broadwater (4×400) are returning state qualifiers from 2022, L-Kiehne (4×400) from 2021. Broadwater (Triple Jump, Discus, 4×400, 4×800) was a four-event competitor at last year’s 1A Meet. Gals Kiehne (4×400, 4×800), Hellickson (800, High Jump), Soiney (4×200, 4×400), Daniels (Triple Jump), Rakosnik (800), Jacobsen (High Jump), Simon (4×800), Morken (4×800), and Erwin (4×200) competed at last year’s 1A Meet. Guys Howard (4×100, 4×200, 4×400) and Liew (4×100, 4×200, Triple Jump) each competed thrice at last year’s 1A Meet. Rein (4×100, 4×200), Wright (Pole Vault), Christianson (4×100), Harvey (110-hurdles), and Penhollow (4×200) also were 1A Meet competitors.
