Kenneth Denny obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Kenneth N. Denny passed away of natural causes January 18, 2021. He was born to Edwin and Alberta Deanny on September 17, 1931, in Stewartville, Minn. He went to high school in Austin, Minn., and college at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Winona State University.

Ken married Alta Faye Keyser in June of 1953.

He was a high school math teacher for 40 years, first in Byron, Minn., then Whitehall Wis., and finally in Preston, Minn., where he also coached basketball and golf and was athletic director. At various times he also managed the summer recreation program, swimming pool, and the Preston Golf and Country Club. He was an EMT and director of the Preston Ambulance Service.

He is survived by his sisters Jean (Frank) Weber and Joan (Robert) Thompson, his brother Philip Denny, his four children: Victoria Denny, Victor (Wendy) Denny, Keith Denny and Lisa Miland; grandchildren Christopher Denny, Paul Trende, Nathan (Juli) Denny, Adam (Emily) Denny, Nicole (Joe) Lukkason and Samantha (Sean) Hinton; and great-grandchildren Claudia, John, Angelique, Cade, Eli, Autumn, Maggie, Vivian and Helen.

Upon his wishes, his body has been donated to Mayo Clinic. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Vernon; and his wife.
