Katherine Ann Laumb, 99, of Plainview, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview.
Katherine was born August 3, 1921, and raised in Rushford, Minn., the daughter of Lloyd and Alice (Swenside) Veir. She attended school in Rushford. Katherine married Ray Laumb October 5, 1940, in Rushford. The couple farmed in the Lewiston/Rushford area until 1953 when they moved to Plainview. Katherine worked at Bates Variety store and did daycare for many years. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Katherine is survived by two daughters, Karen Laumb (Joe Gartner) of Hayfield and Dawn Swanson of Rochester; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Rebecca; one son, Ron; one brother, Stanley Veir; and special friend Harold Petit.
A graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview will be conducted at a later date.
