Karen lsabel Shaw, 67, went home to the lord on Saturday September 4, 2021, at White Pine Assisted Living in lnver Grove Heights. Karen was born on November 10, 1953, to Kenneth W. Shaw and Edith C. (Comstock) Shaw in Rochester, Minn. She grew up in Ostrander and attended LeRoy/Ostrander School. Karen moved to Spring Valley, Minn., and became a caretaker of many. She worked as a nursing assistant in the Spring Valley Care Center for over 20 years. She also worked at other care centers. Karen’s lifelong mission was to care for others. She helped neighbors, her mother during illness, and many others that needed some extra care. Karen also loved walking pet dogs for other people after her beloved Tiffany passed away.
Karen is survived by her siblings Stephen (Nancy) Shaw of Hugo, Minn., Christine (Dean) Dahle of Hayfield, Minn., Kathleen (Dennis) Eckard of Bella Vista, Ark., Susan (Brad) Davis of Hamilton Mont., and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her parents, her brothers Richard and James Shaw and her nephew Timothy Dahle.
Services for Karen will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ostrander, Minn., with Pastor Herman Bakker officiating. Burial will take place at the Ostrander Cemetery.
