Joyce Feldmeier obituary, Fillmore County Journal

January 29, 1933 – August 1, 2026

Joyce Elaine Feldmeier (née Stumlin) passed away peacefully at Claddagh Assisted Living Facility in Caledonia, Minnesota, at the age of 93, on August 1, 2026. She was born on January 29, 1933 in Holmen, Wisconsin, and was married to Ambrose Feldmeier on January 30, 1955. She was a longtime resident of Houston, Minnesota.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Ambrose Feldmeier, her son Donald Feldmeier, and her daughter Elaine (Feldmeier) Hildebrandt.

Joyce is survived by her six children: Marlene Petersen, Judy (Tom) Vix, Mary (Daniel) Thonesen, Steven Feldmeier, Paul Feldmeier, and Jerry Feldmeier. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

Joyce farmed with her husband Ambrose for many years and also worked at Watkins Home and the Houston School District where she worked in food service and janitorial.   

Joyce enjoyed watching daytime soap operas and old Western TV shows. She liked to read the paper on a daily basis and looked forward to watching her favorite team, the Green Bay Packers, every Sunday. She loved watching NASCAR races during the NASCAR season and enjoyed listening to polka music.  

Joyce will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Many heartfelt thanks to Claddagh Assisted Living in Caledonia, Minnesota, and to St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care that they provided to Joyce.

A private family burial will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Hokah, Minnesota. The family will gather to honor Joyce’s life and lay her to rest in a private ceremony.
