John Maloney Obituary - Fillmore County Journal

John Arthur Maloney was born on September 25, 1948. John graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1966, and later attended Rochester Community College. On December 23, 1982, he married Bertha (née Glastetter); together, they traveled extensively as sales representatives for Handi-Clean Products, celebrating over 40 years of marriage. John passed away on December 7, 2025.

John was an inspiration, known for overcoming many seemingly insurmountable challenges. He drew people to him with his sense of humor, positive “keep on trucking” attitude and his strong sense of gratitude.

John is dearly missed by his wife, Bertha, and his siblings: Dianne (Gary Krukar), Steve (Marlene), Dennis (Kathy McLaughlin) and Greg (Tracie). He is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, Fay and Millie Maloney. He is now surrounded by love, and safely in God’s care.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate John’s life.

Special thanks to the Stewartville Care Center and Mayo Hospice staff for their care. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice. Online condolences or memories may be left for John’s family at the Cremation Socity of Minnesota website under John’s obituary.
