Jim “Fox” Gavin, age 80, of Brownsville, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at his home.
He was born April 18, 1943, in Caledonia, Minn., to Earl and Mae (Fitzpatrick) Gavin. Jim attended school in Caledonia and graduated from Loretto High School in 1961, where he participated in boxing.
He was a lifetime farmer on the family farm west of Brownsville and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brownsville.
He is survived by his sister Jeanette (Glenn) Leary and nephews Daniel and Alan Leary.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 16, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brownsville. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday before the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Brownsville.
