Howard M. Hayes

Howard M. Hayes, 86, of Beloit, Wis., passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton, Wis.

He was born February 19, 1939, in Fountain, Minn., the son of Harry and Olive (Olsen) Hayes. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Howard married Ione M. Norgard on February 19, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; she predeceased him on January 27, 2020.

Howard worked for Red Wing shoe store in Rockford, Ill., as a manager. He enjoyed playing cards and watching sports. He was a Packers fan and a Cubs fan. Howard loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children Kevin (Kim) Hayes, Kerry Hayes, Michele Hayes and Staci Wolf; grandchildren, Kameron, Kelli, Amanda, Zackery, Megan, Ashton and Aiden; and brother Harold (Kathy) Hayes.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A funeral service for Howard was held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, Wis. A visitation of remembrance took place from 1 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
