ST. PAUL – State Representative Greg Davids (R-Preston) is pleased to announce that the City of Houston has received a Minnesota Public Facilities Authority (MPFA) grant and loan.
“Houston’s wastewater treatment plant is in need of rehabilitation and this funding will allow the project to move forward,” Davids said.
According to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Houston will receive a state loan of of $1,198,986 and a Water Infrastructure Fund (WIF) grant of $2,994,507. The total project cost is $4,193,493.
“I’m pleased Houston is receiving the assistance it needs, and am thankful state and local officials were able to secure this funding for this critical project,” Davids concluded.
