Where We Left Off in 2023: Houston’s girls (6-3, 6-3) were above five-hundred while the guys won twice (2-8, 2-8). The girls took second (of three) at the SEC Meet but did not make Day 2 of sections. The boys took fifth at the SEC Meet, were incomplete at sections. Hannah Weichert took second and Ethan Knutson tied for third at the SEC Meet. Weichert graduated.
Outlook: The ‘Canes had an All-SEC guys golfer and two All-SEC girls golfers last year. Top guy golfer Ethan Knutson (senior) and Lexi Weichert (junior) each return. Knutson took third at the SEC Meet. L-Weichert took ninth at the TRC Meet, 20th at the 1A Meet. Preston Peterson (senior), Kameron Morgan (senior), and William Carson (junior) are other guy returnees. Julia Carr (junior) and Emily Weichert (junior) also return for the girls.
