On February 26, 2023, at approximately 6:10 pm, Houston County Emergency Dispatch received a 911 call of a one vehicle crash on Hwy 14 16 61 in the City of La Crecent. When a Houston County Deputy arrived on scene, the witnesses stated that the vehicle crashed into a guard rail and then kept driving towards La Crescent. The Houston County Deputy located the vehicle a short distance away. The vehicle was still being driven on three wheels with front end damage. After an approximately 2 mile pursuit, the driver, later identified as Scott Reed (65 years old) of La Crosse, Wis., stopped his vehicle on S. 7th Street, in the City of La Crescent. Mr. Reed was taken into custody without any issues.
Mr. Reed was charged with one count of felony fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and one count of misdemeanor DWI.
