Caledonia’s J.T. Hammell (37, 39), FC’s Aiden Arnold and Brody Srsen (38s), Chatfield’s Carter Ask (38), Lanesboro’s Jack Brogle (39), R-P’s Jaxson Meldahl (39), Chatfield’s Carson Harstad (39, 40), R-P’s Sam LaFleur (40), FC’s Brock Sikkink (40), and GMLO’s Lincoln Lunning (40) all shot 40 or below at head-to-head golf meets on the week. R-P’s boys are notably 4-1-1 while FC’s boys are 3-1-1. Caledonia’s Hayden Harms medaled (45, 42) in wins over La Crescent/Hokah and R-P, as the Warriors improved to 6-0. Myleigh Scheevel shot a season-low 43 in a win over W-K. FC’s girls are 4-1. Lanesboro’s boys and girls are 4-0. LFCMC’s girls won the four-team Chatfield track and field meet. Gopher Jaelyn LaPlante won the 100, tied for first in the High Jump. Behind their distance runners, RPH’s boys won the PEM Winged Foot Meet. Caledonia/SG’s Ethan Stendel won two events (110-hurdles, High Jump). Tro-Cane gal Aubry Boldt continued her dominance, winning three events (110-hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump). M-C softball (3-2, 5-3) won three straight games, beating GMLOK 4-1, FC/L 8-0, and Lourdes 8-7. Tylar Wenthold struck out 35 total batters in the three games. Jensyn Storhoff drove in four runs and scored thrice as FC/L beat Schaeffer 21-9 in five innings for its first win. Caledonia’s Ben Stemper had the game-winning RBI-double in the eighth inning as Caledonia topped Chatfield 5-4 in an extra inning. The Warriors (5-2, 5-3) have won four of five. R-P baseball (5-3, 5-5) got complete game wins from Elias Johnson and Caden Johnson in taking a doubleheader from L-A 2-0 and 5-1. GMLOK scored six in the bottom of the sixth to lead 9-3, only for M-C to score five in the top of the seventh, leaving the tying run on second, in a 9-8 Bulldog win. Morgan Rohweder struck out 13, but Southland overcame a 4-1 deficit in the top of the seventh to beat Houston 7-4.
