The GMLOK girls team began week one of the track and field season with a running start, winning the Cashton Indoor Meet. Week two saw LFC girls relays in particular stand-out. The 4×400 (Emma Breitsprecher, Kaylee Arndt, Brielle Ruen, Bailey Ruen), 4×800 (Katie Prinsen, Malia Tessum, Br. Ruen, Ba. Ruen), and 1,600 sprint medley (Alida Berg, Br. Ruen, Breitsprecher, Arndt) all won at the L-A/St. Mary’s Indoor Meet. The 4×200, 4×400, and 4×800 scored enough points to have the LFC girls team take 9th of 24 scoring teams at the Mankato State Showcase. Both Ruen sisters were on each of those teams. LFC and GMLOKS are girls “True Teams”to watch.
