M-C’s Tylar Wenthold pitched her team to wins over Spring Grove 7-2 and FC/L 15-0, throwing a four inning perfect game in the latter. Lion Claire Sherburne hit a home run and had 14 strikeouts (15 walks) in the loss to the Cougars. Shelby Tesch hit a grand slam home run, struck out 10, and got the win, as R-P beat SG 8-2. Sherburne struck out 19 in defeat. Chatfield softball beat Cotter/HL 9-4 in eight innings. The Gophers then went 0-3 at the St. Charles tourney, but Brynn Horsman hit a home run versus #3 in AA Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton while Makenna Dornack did so versus LeSueur-Henderson. Caledonia girls golf won the 10-team Hayfield Tourney. Lanesboro’s Jack Brogle (36), Chatfield’s Carson Harstad (37), FCs Brody Srsen (37), Kingsland’s Collin Stuart (39), and R-P’s Jaxson Meldahl (39) each shot sub-40 golf rounds. GMLOKS girls track and field won the W-K Meet, their second win of the year. Male athlete Tate Goergen reset his own program-record in the 800-meters (1:53.02).
