GMLOKS’ girls won the Sub-2 meet. Chantle Reiland won four events (100, 200, Long Jump, 4×200) including resetting her own program record in the Long Jump (17’8”). Breeley Galle (Triple Jump, 300-hurdles, 100-hurdles, 4×200) and Gracie Foster (100-H, 300-H, T-Jump, 4×100) each also qualified for sections four times. Chatfield’s Charlotte Oeltjen won the 3,200-meters, breaking a program record (11:27.97) from 1986. Gophers Jaelyn LaPlante (100, 200, High Jump, 4×100), Savannah Peterson (200, Long Jump, 4×100, 4×200), Lane Schmaltz (Pole Vault, 4×100, 4×200, 4×400), and Logan Pearson (200, L-Jump, 4×100, 4×200) qualified for sections four times. RPH’s Aubry Boldt won three events (100-hurdles, Triple Jump, Long Jump) at the Sub-1 track and field meet including breaking her own short hurdles program mark (15.12), setting the meet record in all three events. C/SG’s Fischer Wait won two events, the 200 and 400-meters, setting meet records in both. LFCMC’s Greg Kennedy qualified for sections in four events (200, Long Jump, 4×100, 4×200). Tylar Wenthold struck out 15 as M-C softball topped SG 9-4 in a 1A first round playoff game. Wenthold then hit a home run, but the Cougars good season (15-8) was ended by 10-2 final versus Hayfield. Shelby Tesch hit a home run, but R-P fell in an opening round playoff game 15-5 to L-A. Jensyn Storhoff hit a home run, but FC/L fell 16-1 to Southland in the opening round. SG’s Brandon Jahnke pitched a two-hitter, as SG beat USC 5-1 in an opening round baseball playoff game.
