GMLOKS’ track and field teams each easily won the eight-team Medford Meet. Bently Wiersma notably won the Long Jump and Triple Jump for the boys. The girls have now won three straight outdoor full meets while the boys have won two of those events. Chatfield girls track and field won the seven-team Lewiston-Altura Meet. Jaelyn LaPlante (200, High Jump, 4×200) won three events. GMLOK baseball went 2-1 on the week. Senior Caden Reiter batted .545 with 8 RBIs. He had two 4-RBI games. Caledonia softball, ranked #5, fell 2-1 versus Section 1AA rival St. Charles, though Avery Augedahl pitched a two-hitter. The Warriors rallied by beating W-K 10-0 in five innings, as Paizley Lange hit two home runs and had five RBIs. Augedahl again pitched a two-hitter, improving to 6-1 on the year. The Warriors (5-1, 6-1) lead the TRC-East over Cotter/HL (2-1, 3-2). Aspen Peterson went 4-for-4 as Houston softball avenged a loss from last year, beating Goodhue 15-9. The Hurricanes (4-1, 7-2) trail Southland (4-0, 5-1) in the SEC. Jack Brogle shot a 38, as Lanesboro’s boys topped an incomplete G-E team. Brogle has been sub-40 at all three Burro golf meets this year. Chatfield’s Carson Harstad shot a 43 to pace a 21-man field at the four-team Kasson-Mantorville tourney. Lanesboro 8th grader Addison McCabe tied for fifth (of 43 golfer) at the Stewartville Tourney, as she shot an 18-hole 85. Senior Myleigh Scheevel medaled (44, 46) as FC girls golf beat RP 191 to 231 and an incomplete La Crescent/Hokah squad.
