In a Round of 16 1AA girls’ game, 3-seed Caledonia beat 14-seed La Crescent/Hokah 65-30 behind Aubrie Klug’s 26 points. The Warriors (19-8) next play 6-seed Lake City (14-13). In Round of 16 1A games, 3-seed R-P topped 14-seed Schaeffer 62-19 for the Trojans 20th win (20-7), as Nadia Happel scored 22 points. Six-seed GM beat 11-seed Lanesboro 45-30, as Lauren Queensland scored 23 points. Burro sophomore Jensyn Storhoff topped 1,000 career points in the game. The Trojans (20-7) and Larks (19-8) will do battle in the quarters. Four-seed Spring Grove topped 13-seed Southland 67-40, as Kinley Soiney scored 22. Five-seed FC topped 12-seed K-W 65-50 behind Kammry Broadwater’s 22 (pts) and 15 (rebs). The Lions (22-5) and Falcons (17-10) will do battle in the quarters. Miranda Nagel went for 26 (pts) and 17 (rebs) but 16-seed L-O lost a play-in play-off game 51-49 to 17-seed L/P. Mabel-Canton had three guys top 20-points (Riley Snell 26, Cayden Tollefsrud 20, Hayden Erickson 20) as the Cougars beat L-O. Camden Hungerholt had 24 in defeat. Hungerholt scored 33 points as L-O beat GM 71-60. Will Harvey scored 25 but Lanesboro fell to Schaeffer. The Cougars (10-10, 14-13) are 1A’ 9-seed, play at 8-seed Kenyon-Wanamingo (15-11). The Burros (6-14, 7-19) are the 15-seed, host 18-seed Hayfield (5-22). L-O (7-13, 7-19) is the 16-seed, hosts 17-seed Faribault B.A. (7-19). GM (0-20, 0-26) is the 19-seed, plays at 14-seed G-E (7-19). In 1AA, Chatfield (1-14, 3-24) is the 15-seed, plays at 2-seed Caledonia (21-4).
