Chatfield wrestling (2-0, 2-0) hammered Cal/Hou 58-6 and PEM 64-9 in a notable early season triangular. At the Hutchinson Tourney, Gophers Chloe Berg (124) and Grace Finley (142) each authored five pins in winning titles.

FCLMC’s Kane Larson (11-0) won 157-pounds at the Logan Tourney.

GMLOS’ Cael Smith won 126-pounds at the South Winn Tourney.

Cal/Hou’s Owen Denstad went 9-0 (seven pins) over nine Warrior duals spread across three days.

Lewis Doyle (19 pts, 11 asts) and Ethan Stendel (14 pts, 12 rebs) each double-doubled as Caledonia boys b-ball beat FC 92-56.

Luke Hellickson scored 22 in defeat. Stendel then went for 16 (pts) and 17 (rebs) as the Warriors (1-0, 2-0) beat Holmen 72-57. Hellickson scored 26 as FC beat K-W 67-63.

Cayden Tollefsrud scored 29 and set M-C’s all-time scoring mark, but the Cougars fell to L/P 75-66. Tollefsrud then had 28 and 24 in 81-45 and 59-51 losses to Southland and South Winn. He is averaging 29 PPG.

Brothers Reid (30 pts, six threes) and Camden Hungerholt (27 pts, four threes) combined for 57 points as L-O beat Lanesboro 73-66. Mason Howard had 20 (six threes) in defeat, and 20 more in a loss to G-E 64-58. R-Hungerholt then scored 23 but L-O fell to North Fayette 77-39.

Dawson Bunke scored 25 to lead R-P (0-0, 3-0) over Schaeffer 69-30.

Carter Glynn scored 20 but GM fell to Postville 76-52.

Aubrie Klug scored 32 (seven threes) as Caledonia’s girls beat FC 62-49. Kammry Broadwater had 20 (pts) and 14 (rebs) in defeat.

Josie Foster scored 27 as the Warriors (2-1, 3-1) beat Waukon 64-28. Spring Grove’s girls (2-0, 3-1) won games over Kingsland 52-44 and Postville 63-18. Lauren Queensland had 15 (pts), 16 (rebs), and 7 (asts) in a GM win over Southland 59-56, Lexy Foster 16 (pts) and 16 (rebs) in a win over BP 57-47. R-P’s girls (0-1, 2-1) won games versus Schaeffer 86-40 and GM 42-30. It was the Larks’ first loss (2-0, 3-1). Aubryana Boldt and Avery Kingsley each scored 26 as Houston beat L/P 77-50. Katelyn Hauser scored 20 points (five threes) as Kingsland beat L-O 73-56. Benita Nolt had 20 (pts) and 13 (rebs) in defeat. Keira Lewison scored 21 points and Nolt went for 16 (pts) and 19 (rebs) but L-O fell to Lanesboro 51-44. Jensyn Storhoff had 20 (pts) and 12 (asts) as the Burros also beat ACGE 79-64. Evy Goldsmith scored 20 as Chatfield (1-2, 4-2) beat Osage 69-42.
