Caledonia got two rushing and two passing TDs from QB Ethan Stendel as the Warrior football blanked Z-M 61-0.
Kail Schott ran for 156 yards and 2 TDs and Parker Delaney threw three TDs as Chatfield crunched Pine Island 49-6.
Jayce Kiehne had two rushing and two receiving TDs (101 yards receiving) while Chase Christianson completed seven of eight passes for 194 yards and 4 TDs as FC blanked Hayfield 46-0. L-O got four total TDs from Camden Hungerholt (three rushing, one passing) and he ran for 115 yards as the Cardinals smacked Westbrook-Walnut Grove 63-0.
GM’s Corbin Ludemann ran for 114 yards and a TD but the Larks lost to AC/G-E 35-6. Jonah Bunke ran for 110 yards but R-P fell to BP 43-8.
Caledonia volleyball, ranked #5 in AA, notched two easy TRC 3-0 wins over St. Charles and Cotter. Logan Koepke had 31 total kills in the two matches and Emma Rommes 32 assists versus the Ramblers. The Warriors stayed perfect on the year (2-0, 3-0).
Class AA #6-ranked Chatfield (1-0, 4-1) went 4-1 on the week, notching a non-conference win over Pine Island 3-0, a TRC win over PEM 3-0, and getting two 2-0 wins (while also losing 2-1) at the Rochester-Century Tourney. Cora Bicknese had 22 digs versus the Panthers. Harper Goldsmith had 7 kills, 21 assists, and 6 aces versus the Bulldogs. Bicknese had 40 digs, Goldsmith 42 assists, and Jaelyn LaPlante 31 kills in tourney action.
Tayler Helgemoe had 19 kills and 9 total blocks, Ava Drazkowski 35 assists, as R-P beat D-E 3-1.
Kammry Broadwater had 17 kills and 13 digs as #6 in Class A Fillmore Central topped L-A 3-0.
Benita Nolt had 13 kills and 15 digs as L-O beat Southland 3-1.
LARPH boys narrowly took second to Arcadia at the season opening 2-mile W-K Gallup. Ryan Prinsen took third and Tyler Betthauser fifth. LARPH gal runner Vada Larson also took fifth.
At the large Stewartville Bill Glomski Invite, Chatfield’s Lexi Kivimagi took fourth (of 125) runners.
