Fall sports got going. Bryce Berns accounted for 301 total yards (114 rushing, 187 yards passing) and three TDs as SG football beat Mountain Lake 28-7. Houston stopped AC/G-E’s two-point try in overtime to post a 36-34 win. Hurricane Maddox Rodriguez ran for 136 yards and 3 TDs. Kinley Soiney had 24 kills as #2 in Class A M-C volleyball swept GM 3-0 in a battle of defending SEC division champs. Sahara Morken added 34 assists, 12 digs, and 3 aces. Kammry Broadwater had 19 kills, as #7 FC swept Hayfield 3-0. Double-A fourth ranked Caledonia swept Winona-Senior 3-0. Torryn Schneider had 19 digs and was 25 of 25 serving with three aces as R-P swept Medford 3-0. Benita Nolt had 13 kills and 16 digs, Jenna Olson 29 assists, in L-O’s close 3-0 sweep of Lanesboro.
