Chase Christianson caught three TD passes, Dillon O’Connor threw four, as #5 in Class A Fillmore Central stayed perfect (5-0, 6-0) with a 41-8 win over K-W. O’Connor has 20 TD passes. Tysen Grinde had TDs three different ways (kick-off return, punt return, reception), and Elijah Solum accounted for four total TDs, as #5 Spring Grove (6-0, 6-0) beat L-O 50-21. Lanesboro had five interceptions, Mason Howard accounted for three TDs, in a 54-22 Burro win over Nicollet. Mabel-Canton had five interceptions in a 59-6 win over Houston. Fifth-ranked SG (6-0, 6-0), #2 Lanesboro (5-0, 6-0), and state vote getter M-C (4-1, 5-1) top the South-East. Beau Wiersma ran for 254 yards and 4 TDs as Kingsland (3-2, 3-3) beat L/P 42-22. Wiersma surpassed 1,000 yards. Kinley Soiney had 18 kills versus Schaeffer, Sahara Morken went 33 of 34 serving with 10 aces versus L/P, as M-C volleyball posted two sweeps. The #5 Cougars (12-0, 27-2) lead the SEC-East over #8 SG (10-1, 19-3). Sydney Torgerson had 23 kills and Lilly Carr went 29 of 31 serving with eight aces as Houston beat L-O 3-2. The Hurricanes came back from down 2-1. Anika Reiland had 27 digs plus 12 kills as Kingsland beat Southland 3-1.  Game three was a 31-29 Knight win. Jessie Schreiber had 21 kills as Lanesboro (7-4, 12-12-1) beat G-E 3-0. R-P (3-5, 14-6) posted sweeps of Southland and Houston in non-conference action. Kyla Hellickson had 36 digs, but FC (7-1, 14-7) fell 3-1 to #6 in AAA Stewartville. Ayshia Gay had two goals, but C/SG/H girls’ soccer fell 4-3 in overtime to La Crescent/Hokah.
