Rushford-Peterson volleyball won the eight-team Wabasha-Kellogg Invite. The Trojans beat St. Anthony’s, Goodhue, Medford, LeRoy-Ostrander, and Wabasha-Kellogg to go 5-0. They improved to 9-4 on the season.

Rushford-Peterson volleyball won the Wabasha-Kellogg Tourney. Nikki Schultz’s girls beat St. Anthony’s, Goodhue, and Medford in pool play, then LeRoy-Ostrander and W-K in the four-team first place bracket. R-P also beat Cotter 3-0 in TRC action while losing to La Crescent/Hokah in five sets. The Trojans improved to 2-3, 9-4. R-P football (1-1, 2-1) got a fourth quarter Grady Hengel 1-yard TD run to slip past state-ranking-vote-getter Kenyon-Wanamingo 19-14. Kingsland’s Beau Wiersma ran for 339 yards and 2 TDs, teammate Kaaleeim Reiland ran for 152 yards and 3 TDs, as the Knights (2-0, 2-1) ran for over 500 yards in downing Southland 48-7. Corbin Ludemann ran for 203 yards and 3 TDs, as GM football (1-1, 2-1) out-scored Houston 20-0 in the second half to post a 34-14 win. Caledonia volleyball, ranked #9, lost 3-1 to #8 Cannon Falls. The Warriors did beat L-A 3-1 to stay perfect in the TRC (4-0, 8-3). Logan Koepke had 17 kills. Caledonia and Chatfield (5-0, 12-1) are the last two TRC league-unbeaten volleyball teams. Kyla Hellickson had 21 digs and 5 aces as FC (4-1, 9-2) beat PEM 3-0. Chatfield’s Lexi Kivimagi took ninth at the large Mayo Cross Country Invite.
