Chatfield’s Jack Dornack upends LARP’s Eli Jensen amidst posting a 6-2 decision win. Chatfield beat the Screamin’ Eagles 66-4, part of a dominating 3-0 quadrangular for the Gophers.

Chatfield wrestling (#8 in A) beat FCLMC 72-8, LCH 72-9, and LARP 66-4 at a home quadrangular. The Gophers are 10-1 overall and haven’t lost in TRC action. Gage Bartels (#6 at 113), Kail Schott (#5 at 170), Grady Schott (#2 at 182), and Ethan Ruskell (195) each then took first at the Lake City Tourney. G-Schott had three first period pins. GMLOS’ Aiden Quintana (126) and Cohen Wiste (#1 at 138) won titles at the Wisconsin Dells Tourney. FCLMC’s Orion Sass took first at the Rochester-Century Tourney. Caledonia/Houston wrestling took on eight duals, going 5-3. Owen Denstad and Isaac Blocker (#2 at 138) each went 8-0. The Warriors are 16-5. Eli Solum scored 26 points including hitting the game-winning three as SG’s boys beat Waukon 55-52, earning Coach Wade Grinde his 500th win. SG, the SEC-East leader (9-0, 15-3), also beat Kingsland 63-38 and M-C 87-22. Cayden Tollefsrud, one game removed from scoring 38, popped for 36 in an M-C 72-61 win over Coulee Christian. Drew Schindler scored 22 and 26 points, hitting nine total threes, as Chatfield’s boys (5-3, 8-4) beat Cotter 69-41 and St. Charles 81-38. Jayce Kiehne scored 33 points as FC’s boys beat Cotter 67-55. Justin Ruberg scored 30, as R-P’s boys (6-3, 11-4) beat G-E-T 51-46. Ruberg had two a game earlier versus Caledonia. Taylor Glynn scored 27 as GM’s boys beat Schaeffer Academy 62-50. The Larks (4-5, 8-8) also beat Kingsland 51-41 for a 2-0 week. Tanner Kubitz scored 22 as Houston beat G-E 64-49, ending a 34-game losing streak that dates to 2019-2020. Tanner Olson scored 29 in a 70-58 L-O win over FC. Olson then had 21 and Levi Royston 23, but L-O (5-4, 10-6) fell to Southland 101-74. Royston added a 23-point effort in a loss to JWP 71-61. Kaylee Ruberg scored 29, as R-P’s girls beat St. Charles 50-46. McKenna Hendrickson scored 24, as GM’s girls beat Schaeffer 87-12. Kaci Ruen had 29 (pts) and 16 (rebs) in a Lanesboro 51-41 win over L/P. Malia Tessum had 22 and Ruen 20 in a 73-16 win over Schaeffer, as the Burros (7-1, 13-5) won their sixth straight. Kara Goetzinger scored 22 as Chatfield’s girls (5-4, 13-6) beat L/P 66-27. Sydney Torgerson scored 22 but Houston fell to LC/H 74-37. Jordian Leahy had 23 but SG fell to Waukon 71-55.
