Cotter/Hope Lutheran (43) nipped a less-than-full-strength LARPH boys cross country team (46) at the PEM Meet. Trey Hegland (4th), Brennan Kunst (7th), and Aaron Ploetz (8th) finished top 10 for LARPH. LFC’s Autumn Rakosnik took a narrow second to Cotter/HL’s Sonja Semling while Chatfield’s Lexi Kivimagi took third, LARPH’s Caitlin Bauer sixth, and LFC’s Lillyan Kiehne 8th. Lanesboro junior setter Jensyn Storhoff recorded her 1,000th career dig at the Byron tourney. Torryn Schneider had 28 kills and 19 digs, Avree Connaughty 48 assists, and Addison Drinkall 35 digs, as R-P volleyball topped Southland in five sets. FC volleyball topped D-E in straight sets. The Falcons (7-2, 11-11) are tied with Cotter (7-2, 15-3) for second in the TRC behind league champ, #3 in AA Chatfield (10-0, 24-4). Liv Myhre had 43 total kills and Avery Augedahl 68 total assists as #4 in AA Caledonia (6-3, 18-9) fell to L-A 3-2 and then beat D-E 3-0. Benita Nolt had 19 kills and six aces as L-O topped G-E 3-0. Emily Botcher had 23 digs as Houston topped Schaeffer 3-0. Paisley Robinson had 64 total digs but Kingsland fell to L/P 3-1 and Southland 3-0. Kingsland (4-2, 5-2) football topped Red Rock Central 41-14, as Sam Howard had a receiving TD, an interception return TD, and two sacks. R-P (3-4, 3-4) lost to L-A 20-18 following a late, 13-play, 96-yard game-winning Cardinal drive.
