December 26, 2023 by Fillmore County Journal

Harriet Agrimson Obituary - Fillmore County Journal

Harriet Naomi Agrimson, age 92, died Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, Minn.

Harriet was born in Mount Pleasant Township of Wabasha County, Minn., to Harry and Hilda (Wohlwend) Brostrom.  She married Harold Agrimson in Lake City, Minn., on March 29, 1952.  They farmed south of Utica and later lived in Peterson for many years. They moved to Rushford where they lived until 2010 when Harriet moved to Richmond, with her daughter and family. After 10 years, she moved to Good Shepherd Home in Rushford.

Harriet was a faithful follower of Jesus. She shared her faith everywhere she went and could often be found in prayer for the needs of someone she knew, or someone she’d just met. She was a “people person” and loved making friends wherever she found herself. She loved to laugh. She was a busy and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Harold took their grandchildren to Bible camp yearly. Harriet loved to travel, read, cheer on the grandchildren, play scrabble, and visit with friends and family.

She is survived by her children Lavonne (Dale) Hegland of Richmond, Minn., Duane (Shirley) Agrimson of Peterson, Minn., Glenn (Wendy) Agrimson of Peterson, Dale (Pam) Agrimson of New Richland, Minn., and Mike (Kristi) Agrimson of Peterson; 24 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; brother Dick (Doreen) Brostrom, and sisters-in-law, Lois Brostrom and Kitty Agrimson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, grandsons Justin and Jeremy, great-granddaughter Lauryn, great-grandson Benjamin, and siblings Pat Tackmann and Allen Brostrom.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Root River Community Church, with Rev. Mike Osterbauer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at church from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Interment will be at Arendahl Lutheran Cemetery.

Hoff Funeral Home – Rushford is assisting the family.
