Harriet E. Hahn, 97, of Preston, Minn., died on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Gundersen Harmony Care Center in Harmony, Minn.
Harriet Ellen Hahn was born in Preston, Minn., on February 2, 1925, to Thomas and Alice (Baker) Hahn. She attended Preston Elementary School and graduated from Preston High School, the Preston Teacher Training Department, and Winona State University. She taught at rural and elementary schools in Fillmore County, including Rushford and Spring Valley.
Harriet was a member of the Preston United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the church council. She also taught Sunday school and Bible school. Harriet enjoyed taking bus tours, crocheting, reading, watching and feeding the birds, caring for all animals and growing flowers.
Harriet is survived by her nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great- nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Alice Hahn, and brothers Menar (Judy) Hahn, Glen (Verna) Hahn, and Forrest (Cassandra) Hahn.
Memorial services for Harriet will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Preston United Methodist Church in Preston, Minn., with Pastor Mark Woodward officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
