He loved teaching his students and helping his clients. Grant was a kind and compassionate man who embraced life. The instigator of many practical jokes, Grant had a wonderful sense of humor and a great wit.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, Grant also loved hunting, fishing, playing cards and billiards. He had a special passion for duplicate bridge and was a Gold Life Master.
Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minn., for 49 years, where he served as a president and council member.
