Glenn Stein, age 82, from San Miguel, Calif., passed away in his sleep at a care facility in Portland, Oreg. He was born and raised in Grand Meadow, Minn.
Glenn served in the U.S. Army, worked for Texaco/Chevron for 33 years, was a horseshoer, plus broke colts in his spare time. After retirement he became a silver smith and leather craftsman, making bits, spurs and leather goods. He loved to tell jokes, stories and toast with a glass of brandy. He sure missed his friends over morning coffee at the country diner in San Miguel. He lived there for 50 years.
He is survived by his daughters Terrie Scovell (Andy) and Glynnis Buck (Dennis), grandkids James, Melinda, Robert, Steven, Jennifer, Danny, and Judy, and their families; 12 great-grandchildren, his sister Rita Stein McConnell of Minnesota, and family friend Vivian Blake.
He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his parents Frank and Edna, four brothers, two sisters, and his four stepchildren
His jokes and stories will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. We love and miss you so very much dad, grandpa, and gpa.
