My husband, Glenn Nyenhuis, died June 16, 2019. He was 82. He was born in Sheboygan, Wis., the oldest of four boys. At 18 he joined the Naval Air Corps, where he served as a radar technician during the Cold War with Russia. He took great pride in the time he spent in service of his country and grateful for the opportunities he experienced in the Naval Air Corps. In 1987 Glenn and I (Yvonne) took over the White Front Café and made our home in Lanesboro. Glenn considered the people who frequented the restaurant to be extended family. We ran the White Front for 13 years. On Sunday, July 14, from 1-4 p.m., the Nyenhuis family will host an informal gathering for friends to honor and celebrate Glenn’s life. We welcome anyone who wishes to come. We will show pictures and serve snacks. The gathering will be held at the Sons of Norway, 200 Parkway Ave. S. in Lanesboro, Minn.
