Gladys Mae (Anderson) Bradley, 88, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minn., surrounded by her loving family, from complications from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
Gladys was born October 8, 1928, to Lilly Edwardson and Harris Anderson in Houston, Minn. She was baptized on November 4, 1928 and confirmed November 8, 1942. Gladys graduated from Lanesboro High School with the class of 1946. She married Wallace D. Bradley at First Lutheran Church at Highland on September 26, 1953. Wallace passed away September 26, 2007. Gladys worked at Lanesboro High School, Tri-County Electric in Rushford, and had the everyday role as a farm wife.
Gladys was active in Sunday school, Lutheran League, L.D.R., Ladies’ Aid, Circle, Council, and choir. She enjoyed baking, music, the outdoors, and helping others. Gladys loved the Lord and her family very much, and was a caregiver for her husband for many years.
Gladys is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Walter (Susie) Bradley, and Roger (Annette) Bradley of Lanesboro; one daughter, Lori (Steve) Quinnell of Rochester; five grandchildren: Melissa (Bryan) Guber, Shelley (Shane) Yohe, Nichole (Greg) Gilley, Trisha (Dan) Sukowatey, and Joey Bradley; five great-grandchildren: Alexa Guber, Ashlyn Guber, Grady Gilley, Bradley Sukowatey, and Paisley Yohe; two step great-grandchildren: Austin Gilley and Beaux Gilley; two nephews, Luther and Lance Berge; one great-nephew, Zac Berge; one sister, Lois (Loren) Berge of Lanesboro, Minn.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Wally; her parents, Harris and Lilly Anderson; sister Marie Ann; a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Guber; her mother and father in-law, Odwin and Alvera Bradley.
A private burial was held Monday, March 6, 2017, at the Lanesboro Cemetery in Lanesboro, Minn. Gladys’ Homecoming Party took place Tuesday, March 7, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro, Minn., with Pastor Kerry Eversole officiating. Fellowship was for one hour prior to the services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Lanesboro Cemetery Association.
