Three Rivers Conference

Cotter 69, Rushford-Peterson 60 (RP: K. Ruberg 21 pts, 15 rebs, 4 stls; Ellie Ekern 17 pts (3-3 threes), 8 rebs; Tayler Helgemoe 9 pts. Trojans led 34-29 at the half, most of the game, but couldn’t break a years-long losing streak to Ramblers)

La Crescent/Hokah 64, Caledonia 78 (C: J. Foster 22 pts; Jovial King 17 pts; Ava Privet 16 pts; Paige Klug 8 pts. Caledonia led 43-38 at half, but LCH had 12 turnovers its first 23 second half possessions, as the Warriors went ahead 69-51. Cal was plus-eight at the free throw line (18 of 29 to LCH’s 10 of 15). Lancers won both meetings last year, 45-42 and 53-49)

Lewiston-Altura 47, Chatfield 64 (C: Evy Goldsmith 13 pts, 5 rebs; Taylor Ask 13 pts, 5 rebs, 4 asts; Kara Goetzinger 10 pts, 11 rebs; Anna Kivimagi 10 pts, 5 rebs, 6 asts; Kendall Knutson 8 pts, 6 rebs; Shea Jeah 2 pts, 13 rebs)

Rushford-Peterson 53, Fillmore Central 43 (RP: K. Ruberg 16 pts (5-8 FGs, 5-8 FTs), 7 rebs, 5 stls; E. Ekern 11 pts (6-6 FTs); T. Helgemoe 10 pts; Nevaeh Happel 9 pts, 7 rebs. FC: Alyssa Britton 13 pts, 7 rebs; Kammry Broadwater 10 pts. Teams shot similarly but R-P made 7 of 20 threes (35%) to FC’s 2 of 20 (20%))

Fillmore Central and Rushford-Peterson went at it in girls’ basketball in a key early season TRC/1A match-up. Above FC’s Abby Bothun flings up a shot over R-P’s Cassandra Boyum. The Trojans hit seven three to FC’s two in posting a 53-43 win.

Lyle/Pacelli 8, Grand Meadow 82 (GM: Sydney Cotton 16 pts (3-7 threes), 4 asts; Lauren Queensland 13 pts, 12 rebs, 5 asts, 4 stls; Kendyl Queensland 13 pts, 6 asts, 5 stls; Rebecca Hoffman 12 pts (6-8 FGs), 10 rebs; Lexy Foster 13 pts (5-7 FGs, 3-5 threes), 8 rebs. Athletics scored two second half points. Larks hit 13 of 25 threes (52%). GM > 1-0, 1-0)

Lanesboro 62, Spring Grove 35 (H: K. Ruen 20 pts (9-13 FGs), 12 rebs, 4 stls; J. Storhoff 20 pts (4-6 threes), 4 stls; Jessie Schreiber 12 pts (5-7 FGs), 8 rebs, 4 asts. SG: Emerson Ingvalson/Kylie Hammel 10 pts. Burros > 1-0, 2-1. Lions 0-1, 0-1)

Kaci Ruen is fouled while going to the basket. The Lanesboro senior center had a 22-point, 13-rebound double-double in a conference opening 62-35 win at Spring Grove.

Faribault B.A. 54, LeRoy-Ostrander 25 (L-O: Jordan Runde 15 pts (8-11 FTs); Maddi Huntley 5 pts, 8 rebs, 5 stls)

La Crescent/Hokah 55, Mabel-Canton 19 (M-C: Kinley Soiney 13 pts, 9 rebs. Cougars > 0-0, 0-1)
