Three Rivers Conference

Lewiston-Altura 61, Chatfield 78 (C: P. Berg 25 pts (9-13 FGs, 4-6 threes, 3-4 FTs), 6 rebs, 5 asts; Jaiden Zimmerman 11 pts; Zayda Priebe 11 pts, 8 rebs; K. Goetzinger 12 pts (4-4 FTs), 6 rebs; Anna Kivimagi 8 pts, 4 rebs, 5 asts.  Gophers hit 16 of 21 free throws (76%), scored 45 first-half points, a season-high 78 total points)

Rushford-Peterson 29, Cotter 69 (R-P: Emarie Jacobson 10 pts.  Cotter hit 11 of 18 threes (61%), R-P 1 of 9 (11%))

La Crescent/Hokah 45, Caledonia 42 (C: Alexis Schroeder 11 pts; Ava Privet 10 pts; Paige Klug 10 pts; Jovial King 8 pts.  Lancers built a 29-13 halftime lead and withstand Warrior comeback to sweep season series.  Caledonia > 7-4, 13-8)

Southeast Conference

Lanesboro 65, Schaeffer Academy 24 (L: Brielle Ruen 14 pts (3-8 threes); Jessie Schreiber 13 pts, 6 rebs; Julia Keasling 12 pts (6-8 FTs); Kaci Ruen 10 pts (5-9 FGs), 15 rebs, 5 asts.  Burros led 41-14 at halftime)

Lanesboro 36, Spring Grove 44 (SG: J. Leahy 21 pts, 6 rebs; Katelyn Kraus 8 pts, 6 rebs.  L: J. Schreiber 15 pts, 19 rebs; B. Ruen 12 pts, 7 rebs, 4 stls; K. Ruen 6 pts, 15 rebs.  The Lions (6-15), with a revamped defense and improved ball-handling, took the rematch after the league-leading Burros (14-6) had won an earlier meeting by 23 points. SG won by 8 points with an 8-point advantage in fast breaks. Rebounds: L 61, SG 28. FGs: L 16 of 71 (23%), SG 20 of 56 (36%).  Burros > 8-2, 14-6)

Grand Meadow 58, Lyle/Pacelli 30 (GM: Lexy Foster 16 pts, 6 rebs; Kendyl Queensland 15 pts (6-8 FTs), 5 rebs; Lauren Queensland 13 pts, 7 rebs; Sydney Cotton 5 pts, 5 asts, 6 stls.  Larks hit 11 of 14 free throws (79%).  GM > 9-2, 15-5)

Houston 59, Schaeffer Academy 36 (H: Olivia Beckman 19 pts (5-9 threes), 5 asts; Sydney Torgerson 18 pts (8-11 FGs), 10 rebs, 5 asts, 4 stls.  Hurricanes hit eight of 22 threes (36%).  Houston > 7-4, 12-9)

Non-Conference

Houston 49, Rushford-Peterson 59 (R-P: K. Ruberg 29 pts, 15 rebs; Ellie Ekern 18 pts, 4 stls.  H: S. Torgerson 17 pts (7-8 FTs), 4 asts; Nicole Beckman 8 pts.  Trojans built 11-2 lead, never trailed)

Lewiston-Altura 62, Spring Grove 38 (SG: J. Leahy 26 pts (4-5 threes).  The Lions were within one point before the Cardinals closed with a 25-2 run. SG added only one basket during the final eight and half minutes)

Kee 51, Mabel-Canton 33 (M-C: Katrinda Whalen 12 pts (5-9 FGs), 10 rebs; Kinley Soiney 12 pts)

Lake City 69, Chatfield 51 (C: K. Goetzinger 20 pts (7-11 FGS, 6-8 FTs), 7 rebs; Zayda Priebe 10 pts, 6 rebs; Evy Goldsmith 8 pts.  LC: Natalie Bremer 22 pts.  Tigers led 34-18 at half.  They hit seven threes, the Gophers zero.  Lake City improved to 12-6)

Don’t anybody blink now! Mabel-Canton’s Gwen Tollefsrud and R-P’s Emarie Jacobson are each captured with their eyes shut while battling for possession. R-P had it much more “together,” as they posted 64-36 non-conference win.

Houston 43, Fillmore Central 41 (H: N. Beckman 15 pts (5-10 threes); O. Beckman 11 pts (3-7 threes); S. Torgerson 8 pts (5-6 FTs), 15 rebs.  FC: Kammry Broadwater 11 pts, 4 rebs, 7 asts, 9 stls; Courtney Hershberger 10 pts, 7 rebs; Alyssa Britton 10 pts.  With FC leading 34-27 in second half, O-Beckman hit a three and N-Beckman followed with two more to put Houston up 36-34 (9-0 run). O-Beckman hit another key three with 1:39 left to make it 43-39 Houston.  Trailing 43-41, FC had two possessions to tie or go ahead.  They missed three shots.  Hurricanes had 32 turnovers, and missed two front-ends in the final minute.  FC was 3 of 9 from the line in the final seven minutes.  Threes: FC 2 of 25 (8%), H 10 of 24 (41%).  FC had won its previous five section games.  Houston ended a four-game losing streak)  

Rushford-Peterson 64, Mabel-Canton 36 (R-P: K. Ruberg 16 pts, 10 rebs, 4 asts, 4 stls; Tayler Helgemoe 15 pts (6-9 FGs, 3-6 threes); E. Ekern 9 pts (3-6 threes).  M-C: Camryn Cox 9 pts, 5 stls; Hope Erickson 8 pts, 7 rebs; K. Whalen 8 pts (4-6 FGs).  Trojans hit 9 of 11 free throws (82%) and 9 of 25 threes (36%). Cougars were 0 of 5 from deep.  R-P won first half and second half each evenly 32-18.  Trojans > 3-8, 10-12)

#3 in A Hayfield 62, Grand Meadow 40 (GM: L. Foster 14 pts; K. Queensland 11 pts, 5 rebs; McKenna Hendrickson 8 pts.  Vikings built a 35-21 halftime lead, hit 11 of 26 threes (48%), and improved to 21-0)

Fillmore Central 59, Mabel-Canton 36 (FC: Lauren Mensink 14 pts; K. Broadwater 12 pts (6-9 FGs), 4 rebs, 5 asts, 6 stls; A. Britton 9 pts (5-6 FTs), 6 rebs.  M-C: K. Soiney 14 pts; (5-6 FTs), 10 rebs; C. Cox 8 pts (4-4 FTs).  Falcons made 17 of 38 free throws (45%), Cougars 16 of 26 free throws (62%).  Cougars > 3-6, 6-14.  Falcons > 1-9, 7-13)

Spring Grove 47, Plainview-Elgin-Millville 72 (SG: Addyson McHugh 17 pts (5-6 threes), 4 stls; J. Leahy 9 pts.  PEM: Abigail O’Reilly 30 pts, 13 rebs.  The Lions were unable to combat the Bulldogs superior height and speed. Lions > 5-6, 6-15)

LeRoy-Ostrander 52, Alden-Conger 66 (Cardinals > 2-7, 3-16)
