Funeral services for Gaylord “Casey” K. Albrecht will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at Christ Lutheran Church in Preston, Minn. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Christ Lutheran and will continue for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Casey K. Albrecht, age 86, of Preston, Minn., died unexpectedly Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Fountain, Minn. He was born August 18, 1938, near Fillmore, Minn., to Harry and Mary (Beckman) Albrecht. Casey attended and graduated from Wykoff High School. Over the years he owned and operated Casey’s TV and Repair, worked at Diacro, IBM, and farmed. He loved football, especially the Vikings, was a jokester who loved April Fool’s Day and had a great sense of humor, he enjoyed playing cards and liked to bid even if he didn’t have them. Casey loved music and had a group called “Casey and the Good Timers” they would play at local nursing homes and assisted living apartments.
Casey is survived by his children Scott (Deb) Albrecht of Plainview, Minn., Connie (John) Bober of Evansville, Ind., Sally (Jeff) Meigs of Preston, Minn., and Wendy (John) Sullivan of Mazeppa, Minn.; special friend Pat Schwarz of Spring Valley, Minn.; grandchildren Jeanine (Josh) Larson, Amy (Jeremy) Meyer, Eric (Melissa) Albrecht, Michael (Kelly) Albrecht, Ashley Albrecht, Hannah Brown, Jacob Isler, Rachael (Chris) Janink, Joshua McDonough, Jonathan McDonough, Jeremy McDonough, Jordan Youngs, Jessica (Andrew ) Gerads) Duncan, and Jack Duncan, and 25 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Diane (Jerry) Krusmark and Elaine (Bob) Marnell both of Lake City, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley in 2019, an infant son, Timmy; his parents, two brothers and one sister.
