Gayle Treichel Bunge

March 31, 2022 by Fillmore County Journal

Gayle Treichel Bunge, who always lived life with her boots on, died of pancreatic cancer on March 29, 2022, in her home in Etna, N. H., surrounded by her loving family.

On April 10, 1962, Gayle was born to William and Barbara Treichel in Ann Arbor, Mich. She grew up in Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University with a BA in Mass Communications and Marketing. Always an entrepreneur, Gayle started her own marketing company immediately after graduation, then transitioned into media sales. She attained a professional goal when she and Heather Richetto-Rumley established ClearWater Performance Group: for more than 10 years their partnership provided executive leadership coaching and consulting to clients around the world.

Gayle had a deep love for family and friends. In 1988, she married Eric Bunge, the love of her life, with whom she raised two incredible daughters, Kelley (25) and Jayne (22). As a family they lived in Colorado and Minnesota before moving to New Hampshire in 2013. Gayle is survived by her family, Eric, Kelley, Jayne, dog Cooper, and grand-dog Billie. She is survived in love by her father Bill, sister Sally, and many extended family members and friends.

Gayle had many passions and interests, but her favorites were coaching, travel, animals, and anything outside. Her family and friends were lucky to share many of these passions with her.

Over the last several months, Gayle was honored by the many stories, memories, and tributes shared by family, friends, and clients who expressed their gratitude for having her as part of their lives. It was a gift that she knew how greatly she was loved, respected, and admired – we thank you all for your compassion. The family also sends heartfelt thanks to the dedicated nurses, doctors, and healthcare professionals at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center and Bayada Hospice who did all they could for Gayle.

Private services will be held at a future date. In place of flowers, take a walk, or do a random act of kindness.  If you would like to make a donation, the family requests donations to: The Hand to Heart Project (contact@handtoheartproject.org), Hanover Conservancy (www.hanoverconservancy.org), or St. Catherine University Business College – Other Fund, St. Paul, Minn., ssl.charityweb.net/stkate/.
