Francis “Jr.” Bouska, age 77, of Decorah, died on April 4, 2022, at Wellington Place in Decorah, Iowa.
Francis “Jr.” Bouska was born on October 11, 1944, the son of Francis and Pauline (Frana) Bouska in Decorah. He attended grade school in Protivin and Rudolphinum High School, also in Protivin. Francis then enlisted in the United States Navy from 1964-1968 where he served on the USS Ranger. Following his time in the military, he attended Area 1 (now N.I.C.C) for farm equipment repair. On February 12, 1977, Francis married Audrey Sjullie. To this union five children were born: Jeremiah, Ralia, Jason, Stephanie, and Kristen. Francis and Audrey later divorced. In his working years, Francis farmed with his parents on the family farms. Francis had been a resident of Wellington Place since 1984.
Francis is survived by his children: Jeremiah (Tami) Bouska, Cresco, Iowa, Ralia Bouska, Jacksonville, N. C., Jason Bouska, Mason City, Iowa, Stephanie (Justin) Gerleman, Frederika, Iowa, Kristen (Brandon) Bouska Earles, Monona, Iowa; grandchildren: Nicolas Bouska, Kaylin Bouska, Aurora Bouska, Lenore Bouska, Theodore Bouska, Xavier Rolan, Shanna Bouska, Chelsea Gerleman, Alley Gerleman, Jorja Gerleman, Haylee Gerleman, Alexis Earles, Drew Earles, and Trace Earles; siblings: Kitty (Charlie) Meyer, Calmar, Iowa, George (Kathy) Bouska, New Hampton, Iowa, Quentin (Mary) Bouska, St. Paul, Minn., Anita (Rick) Hemesath, Ossian, Iowa, Polly (Ken) Haskovec, Cresco, Iowa, Joe Bouska, Fort Atkinson, Iowa, Jerry Bouska, Fort Atkinson, Iowa, and LaDeane (Marvin) Lensing, Cresco, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Pauline (Frana) Bouska;,brothers Jim (Deb) Bouska and John Bouska, sister-in-law Lavonne Bouska, nephews Alan Meyer, Joel Meyer, and Michael Bouska; and niece Caroline Bouska.
