On August 8, Lonnie Jerome Lee, 63, of Rochester, appeared before District Court Judge Christopher A. Neisen.  Lee was charged with Harassment; Restraining Order – Violate Within Ten Years of the First of Two Previous Domestic Violence Convictions/Adjudications.  It is a felony with a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison, and/or a $10,000 fine, or both.  On about August 8, the defendant allegedly violated a restraining order.  Lee has previously been convicted for Gross Misdemeanor Violation of an HRO (2016) and for Misdemeanor 5th Degree Assault (2015).  On August 12, Lee appeared before District Court Judge Matthew J. Opat.   He was again charged for the same offense.  On August 25, Lee appeared before Judge Opat.  He was charged with the same offense for a third time.

On September 26, Anthony Jered Daley, 37, of Caledonia, appeared before District Court Judge Matthew J. Opat.  Daley is charged with two felonies; Drugs – 3rd Degree – Possess – Meth/Amphetamine in School/Park/Public House Zone and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  The first count carries a maximum criminal penalty of 20 years in jail and/or a $250,000 fine.  The second carries a maximum criminal penalty of five years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine.  On or about August 25, a Minnesota State Patrolman approached the defendant in the Casey’s parking lot in Preston, after hours (11:55 p.m.) due to suspicious activity.  Daley was allegedly acting in a way that could be construed as impaired.  A baggie had allegedly been discarded in the grass by the defendant and it came back positive for methamphetamine.  The Casey’s is right across the street from the Fillmore Central Elementary/Middle School.
