On or about November 29, a Chatfield police officer was flagged down by two persons regarding a robbery. The officer had an idea who the suspects were, having just seen a (suspicious) shirtless male run and get into a car. He caught up to and pulled the alleged vehicle outside of town, Plonka allegedly driving, Sora the alleged passenger, Aden allegedly in the backseat. Two other troopers arrived to lend assistance. Another sheriff’s deputy interviewed the alleged male victim. He allegedly identified Sora and Aden as the perpetrators. Sora had come over to “hang out,” only to allegedly take a sum of money around $2,400 dollars. Sora allegedly assaulted the male victim and a female victim when they tried to stop the theft. The female victim ripped Sora’s shirt off amidst the scuffle. A roommate of the victims allegedly observed Soro hit the male and female victims. The male victim showed his cell phone where the perpetrators had allegedly told him not to be a snitch and they had guns in the vehicle. The three defendants were arrested without incident, but no weapons were found. A total of $1,720 loose cash was allegedly found during a pat down of Aden (in his left pant leg). At the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, all three defendants ultimately declined to be interviewed, asking for lawyers.
