On September 5, Loren Adam Sarazin, 32 of Spring Valley, appeared before District Court Judge Christa M. Daily. Sarzin is charged with two counts of Domestic Assault; Commits Act With Intent to Cause Fear and Intentionally Inflicts or Attempts to Inflict Bodily Harm. Each is a felony with a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, and/or both. On or about September 4, a Fillmore County deputy was dispatched to a residence in Spring Valley for a domestic disturbance. A victim allegedly testified that Sarazin assaulted (slapped, pushed to the ground, put in chokehold) her. The defendant was allegedly belligerent and uncooperative with officers, as a deputy had to draw a taser to arrest him. Sarazin has three prior qualified domestic violence-related offenses/convictions in the past ten years, to wit; 4th Degree Assault (Anoka County), Felony Violation of a No Contact Order (Kandiyohi County), and Misdemeanor Violation of a No Contact Order (Kandiyohi County).
