On July 16, Devin Robert Quient, 25, of Chatfield, appeared before District Court Judge Matthew J. Opat. Quient is charged with six crimes, including Threats of Violence, a felony with maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both. On or about July 13, within the city of Chatfield, amidst a domestic dispute, the defendant allegedly threatened violent action against another (“going to kill’).
On July 18, Bryce Allen Peterson, 25, of Lanesboro, appeared before District Court Judage Matthew J. Opat. Peterson is charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Each are felonies with maximum criminal penalties of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both. On or about July 16, upon executing a warrant for another wanted person within the city of Lanesboro, a police officer allegedly discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia in Peterson’s apartment. Methamphetamines were allegedly included in the discovery.
On July 19, Lonnie Joe Shipton, 62, of Wykoff, appeared before District Court Judge Matthew J. Opat. Shipton is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a felony with a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both. On or about July 18, within Fillmore County, the defendant was routinely stopped, with license suspended, inimical to public safety, and placed under arrest. At the Fillmore County Jail, a small bag containing methamphetamines was allegedly found in Shipton’s jeans pocket.
