At approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023, an 82-year-old female was traveling along River Street in Chatfield, Minn., on her motorized scooter.
According to Chatfield Police Chief Shane Fox, there was a tree removal company clearing out an area at a nearby lot. While cleaning up the lot, the driver of a skid loader backed off of the boulevard of the lot onto the road to empty the bucket.
The woman was fatally injured from the skid loader backing over her and her scooter. Chatfield Police and Ambulance were dispatched.
