After a 0-3 start to the season, Fillmore Central football beat Hayfield 32-8 to win its second straight contest. A trio of Falcons posted multiple TDs. Two topped 100 yards rushing. Falcon senior QB Zach Haugerud (10-112, TD rushing, 5-8, 82 yards, 2 TDs passing) authored a trio of scores, hitting classmate Carson Kiehne (12-58 rushing, 4-59, 2 TDs receiving) on a pair of TD passes. Junior RB Alec Sikkink (13-127, 2 TDs rushing) scored twice on the ground, including a 79-yard TD scamper. Ajay Ristau added 48 yards on five carries. FC led 19-8 heading to the fourth. A Haugerud to Kiehne 27-yard connection made it academic at 25-8. The Falcons prevailed 32-8. The Vikings were held to nine yards rushing on 16 attempts. Quarterback Ethan Pack (20-39, 265 yards, TD, 2 INTs passing) did most of Hayfield’s work via the air. Ethan Slaathaug (3-70, TD receiving) and Erik Bungum (6-82 receiving) were his favorite targets. FC improved to 2-3.
