Emma Marie Rahm, age 83, of Hastings and Harmony, Minn., passed away January 29, 2019. She was born April 24, 1935, to Christian and Gladys Ellingson. She was a graduate of Harmony High School. She married Donald Rahm on June 3, 1956. Emma worked and met her husband at Stan’s Bakery in Harmony. She was a homemaker and later worked for 20 years as a para professional at Harmony/Fillmore Central High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, siblings Ethel Long, Deloris Richardson, Arlene Morem, Evelyn Morem, Curtis Ellingson, and Erik Ellingson. Emma is survived by her daughter Kaiya (Rob) Witt, grandsons Samuel and Benjamin Witt, brother John (Millie) Ellingson, sister in law Marge Ellingson, in-laws Bernie and Diana Witt; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 1401 15th Street West in Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
