Elmer Lee “Al” Snyder, 79, passed away on February 20, 2025, at the VA hospital in Tomah, Wis.
Born on May 16, 1945, in Wisconsin, Al dedicated his life to service and family. He proudly served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving both at Offutt Air Base in Nebraska and Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines.
Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sandra Snyder, sister Caroline Terpstra, and brother in law Roger DeWitt.
He is survived by his son Griffin Snyder, his daughter Julie Snyder, his granddaughter Lillian Snyder, his sister Marilyn DeWitt, and brother Gary (Penny) Snyder.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, at McCormick Funeral Home, 205 E. Main St., Caledonia, Minn. A luncheon will follow at Elsie’s in Caledonia.
A private interment will take place at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse, Wis.
