Douglas Jay Minnich, age 86, of Grand Meadow, Minn., died Friday February 26, 2021 at his home in Grand Meadow where he had lived since he was a child.
He was born January 25, 1935 to Guy and Edna (Ridgeway) Minnich in Iowa. At a young age he moved with his family to Grand Meadow where he attended school. Doug went on to Albert Lea Vo-Tech and studied refrigeration, later starting and running his own business, Doug’s Appliance Service.

Doug loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Ella. Time spent watching her sporting activities, listening to her play piano, hunting and going fishing brought him great joy. He was always the first one there to lend a helping hand for family and friends and he could fix just about anything.
