Donna Jetson obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Donna J Jetson, 87, died at New Perspectives Memory Care in Eagan, Minn., on December 5, 2024.  Donna was born March 18, 1937, to Charles and Josephine (Hubbard) Shoults.  She attended Onalaska High School.  On July 5, 1980 she married Milton Jetson of Harmony, Minn. He died October 14, 2017.

Donna worked as a cashier at the Harmony IGA for many years. She enjoyed her job and connecting with her neighbors. She loved family gatherings and was known for her annual Thanksgiving in July party on the farm.  She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her hobbies included gardening (she grew oranges indoors), crocheting/knitting, and working on jigsaw puzzles (she completed a 2,000 piece puzzle of The Last Supper).

Donna is survived by her 10 children: Deb (Larry) Schaefer, and Steve (Alisa) Sokolik; Teresa (Byron) Kolz, Della (Clovis Woxland) Mehaffey, Diana Ruffing, David (Liz) Jetson, Wesley (Louanne) Jetson, Monte (Lori) Jetson, Maxine (Bill) Conrad and Roxanne Jetson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Doug (Mary) Shoults, Jim (Judy) Shoults, and Paul (Arvilla) Shoults, and sister in-law Carol Shoults.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gary Shoults.

Revelations 21:4: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any pain: For the former things are passed away.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, December 9 at the Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel. Burial will be in the Mabel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

So sorry to hear about Donna’s passing. I got to know her when she was living at Harmony Place. She took my Mom, Joyce, under her wing. She always saved a chair for Mom when they had music.
    Rest in Peace Donna!
